BATH — Grace G. Thurston, 94, died Sept. 5 at her home in Shawmut. She was the daughter of Wilbur and Ida (Rowe) Thurston.
She was born April 24, 1919, in Bath. Thurston lived out her early years in Bath, where she enjoyed the ocean. Thurston was well loved by her staff and the ladies with whom she lived. She loved children and animals, particularly birds. Thurston was an accomplished knitter and loved to craftwork.
She was predeceased by her parents, Wilbur and Ida Thurston.
She is survived by her half-brother, Willard Thurston, and her cousin, Sally Andre.
A graveside service was held Sept. 10 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath.
