SOUTH PORTLAND — School Board member James Gilboy will serve another three-year term after winning re-election as a write-in candidate, while Scarborough Democrat Jean-Marie Caterina has conceded the election in Maine House District 128 to Republican incumbent Rep. Heather Sirocki.

Gilboy, who represents the city’s District Four, did not submit nomination papers in September to get on the Nov. 7 ballot, but mounted a write-in campaign after there were no other declared candidates.

He received 74 votes, according to South Portland City Clerk Susan Mooney, and agreed to serve another term.

Caterina, running in the district that includes the western portion of Scarborough, Monday said she decided not to seek a recount after losing to Sirocki by 116 votes, 3,029 to 2,913.
