President and CEO Sara Burns on Monday, Sept. 26, unveiled a public, solar-powered charging station for electric cars at Maine Audubon’s Gilsland Farm in Falmouth. The station, which can charge two cars in three to four hours, cost $5,800 and was funded mostly by a grant from CMP’s Electric Vehicle Program. Use of the charging station is free.
