BRUNSWICK — Gertrude Bedard Bergeron, 89, died Jan. 2 at Parkview Adventist Medical Center.

Born in Lewiston, July 31, 1921, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Plante Bedard, she attended Lewiston schools and graduated in 1940 from Lewiston High School.

On Nov. 26, 1949, she married Gerard Bergeron.

For 14 years she lived at Pejepscot Terrace in Brunswick.

This past year she was lovingly cared for in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Patrice and Jimmy  George.

Family was the most important thing to her. Artistically gifted, she was always paintings, making crafts, and other handmade items.

Her husband Gerard predeceased her Feb. 1, 1995. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Michelle Leeman, in 1992.

Surviving is a daughter, Patrice George, and her husband Jimmy of Brunswick, and two sons, Rene Bergeron and his wife Cindy of Moscow, and Richard Bergeron and his wife Kathleen of Monmouth; a sister, Fern Sprague of Auburn; six grandchildren, Marissa Tardif of Sabattus, Eden and Morgan Bergeron, both of Monmouth, Brianna and Mariah George, both of Brunswick, and Aris Bergeron of Moscow; a great-grandson, Gavin Tardif of Sabattus; and nine nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St. Brunswick.
