PORTLAND – Geraldine Ham, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 25, 2015. The daughter of Earl and Shirley (Sawyer, King) Weymouth, she was born in Portland, on April 16, 1931. She married Chester Arthur Ham Sr. and they settled down in Portland to raise their four sons. They were both members of the Portland Eagles Club. She was a dedicated homemaker, wife, and mother, a position she thrived in.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, two sisters Joanne and Jackie, and her daughter-in-law Pam Ham.

She is survived by her sons, Chester Arthur Ham Jr., of Portland, Robert A. Ham, of Brunswick, Richard L. Ham and his wife, Julie, of Westbrook, and John G. Ham, of South Portland, her three grandchildren, Amy, Tyler and Amanda, her six great-grandchildren, Grace, Cerilene, Caleigh, Charlotte, Zackary, and Jeffrey, and her two brothers John “Sonny” Weymouth, of Westbrook, and Brian Weymouth, of Portland.

Family and friends are invited to attended a time of visitation on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 from 4-6:30 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in Forest City Cemetery in South Portland.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ham’s memory to the Pine Tree Society, P.O. Box 518, Bath, Maine 04530.

Her family would like to thank the entire staff of the Barron Center in Portland for their excellent care for her and their caring support for her family.
