BRUNSWICK — George R. Little, 87, of Thornton Oaks died Dec. 9 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

He was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., on July 24, 1926, the son of Franklin R. and Janet D. Little.

Little attended schools in Ogdensburg, N.Y., and New Hampshire. He received a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University in 1948, and served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952.

On Dec.4, 1958, he married Adele Keatley.

Little managed a newspaper in Potsdam, N.Y., and was co-owner with his wife of another in Goffstown, N.H., until his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed world travel, golf, and choral singing, and was a member of Rotary and Kiwanis.

He is survived by his wife, Adele; nephews Bryce and Craig Little; nieces Janet and Jocelyn Little; and a great-niece, Janaki Little.

Visiting hours were held Dec. 21, at Stetson’s Funeral Home, Brunswick. A service was held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Brunswick. Burial with military honors will be held in the spring in Ogdensburg Cemetery, Ogdensburg, N.Y.
