TOPSHAM — Genevieve Holloway, 79, died Nov. 8 at her home, with her family by her side.

Holloway was born in Miami on Sept. 13, 1935, the daughter of Earl Moore and Daisy Batson Willis.

She graduated from Miami High School, and on April 9, 1955, she married William C. Holloway, who served with the U.S. Navy.

Ginny was a dedicated Navy wife, traveling the bases and raising four children. In Maine, she worked in retail at Senter’s Department Store and at L.L. Bean.

Holloway and her family enjoyed camping each year. She also enjoyed painting, crocheting, cross stitching, skiing and bass fishing. Most recently, she had come to love the QVC television channel. She and her husband were always traveling in their beloved Air Stream, and spent many winters in Florida.

Surviving are her daughter, Beth Holloway, of Litchfield; son, Paul Holloway, of Redway, California; two sisters, Bette McCarl, of Maryland, and Pat Willis, of Florida; five grandchildren, Chad Holloway and wife, Dori, Micah Holloway, Jennifer Dumais and husband, Alex, and Michelle and Meagan Arsenault; five great-grandchildren, Colbie, Lucia and Sawyer Holloway, and Callie and Stella Dumais; and close family friends Erika and Alan King.

She was predeceased by her husband and two sons, William C. Holloway Jr. and Donald E. Holloway.

A memorial service was held Nov. 13 at Stetson’s Funeral Home, in Brunswick. Burial followed at Rogers Cemetery, in Topsham.
