PORTLAND — Tips for tracing branches of the family tree will be shared from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the Southern Maine Genealogy Conference at the Keeley Banquet Center, 178 Warren Ave.

The conference will feature workshops on beginning genealogy, use of DNA testing, and local resources including the Maine Historical Society. The keynote speaker will be Joe Anderson on “Documenting Grandma’s Stories: Turning Gossip into Genealogical Fact.”
