Marchers make their way along Congress Street in Portland Saturday as the 24th annual Gay Pride Parade and celebration got underway. More than 4,000 people lined the streets as the participants marched from Monument Square to Deering Oaks Park.

Parade marshall and TV personality Carson Kressley leads the Gay Pride Parade in Portland Saturday. Spectators lined the streets as the parade made its way from Monument Square to Deering Oaks Park. Kressley is performing this summer at the Ogunquit Playhouse.
