SCARBOROUGH — Gary Maynard Wilson, 48, of Falmouth, died at Gosnell Memorial Hospice on Nov. 25 after a brief illness.

On July 16, 1961, he was born in Portland, the youngest son of Norma Aaskov Wilson and Carroll M. Wilson Sr.

He attended Falmouth schools, graduating in 1980.

For 29 years he worked for Hannaford Supermarkets managing floral and seafood departments and was loved by both customers and employees.

He inherited his grandfather Maynard Aaskov’s love of plants and gardens, planting large gardens and selling vegetables from a farm stand on Falmouth Road with his parents for many years.

Surviving are his parents Norma and Carroll; a brother, Carroll Jr. “Skip,” his wife Mary Lyn Wilson of New Gloucester and their children, Rodney Wilson of Connecticut, Kelley Wilson of Cumberland; a brother, Brian, his wife Pam and their children Brianna, and Nicholas, all of Pownal; an aunt Sharon Gerry and husband Bill of Arkansas, an uncle Vernon of Massachusetts; and several cousins.

A funeral service was held Nov. 28 in Falmouth.

Memorial donations may be made to the memorial fund at Emmaus Lutheran Church, 265 Middle Road, Falmouth, ME 04105.

Arrangements are by the Funeral Alternatives Group, 417 U.S. Route 1, Falmouth.
