PORTLAND — A volunteer citywide cleanup organized by organic waste hauler Garbage to Garden will begin with a 9:30 a.m. rally Saturday in Monument Square.
Businesses and organizations including Local Flames, Rising Tide Brewery, Allagash Brewing Co., Rosemont Neighborhood Association, East Bayside Neighborhood Association, Reiche School, Wayside Food Programs, Local Muscle, and Maine Roller Derby will take part in the cleanup in designated areas in the city.
Groups will disperse by 10 a.m. and return by 1 p.m., with collected trash to be hauled away by the city Public Services Department. A group photo will also be taken.
