PORTLAND — No-frills carrier Frontier Airlines will add service from the Portland International Jetport to three cities this summer.

In a press conference Wednesday, Frontier Vice President Tyri Squyres said nonstop flights to Denver and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, will begin July 10. On Aug. 12, Frontier will begin nonstop service to Orlando, Florida.

Flights to Denver and Raleigh-Durham will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays; flights to Orlando will be Wednesdays and Saturdays.

With the addition of Frontier, which is based in Denver and is the nation’s eighth largest commercial airline, the Jetport will offer flights from seven airlines with nonstop service to 17 cities. Last year, more than 1.8 million passengers used the Jetport, breaking a record set the year before.
