SOUTH PORTLAND — Volunteers interested in monitoring water quality in Casco Bay are invited to attend a five-hour training session beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at Southern Maine Community College.
The Friends of Casco Bay is seeking help monitoring water at 40 sites along the bay on 10 Saturdays through October. Volunteers must be at least 16, but parents and children are invited to work together.
