Portland Head Light is all but concealed by scaffolding on Wednesday, May 25, because the structure is being repainted for the first time in eight years. Cape Elizabeth Facilities Director Greg Marles said the routine maintenance should be done by the end of June. Repainting of Portland Head Light is being done by CertaPro Painters of Maine, based in Scarborough, at a cost of $65,000.
