FREEPORT — Freeport Community Services is once again running a Summer Free Lunch for Kids program weekdays through Aug. 31, excluding the Fourth of July.

Free meals are distributed at the Freeport Community Center, 53 Depot St., and Mast Landing School, 116 Mollymauk Lane, for children under the age of 19 who meet the income guidelines for reduced-price meals in the National School Lunch Program.

Children who are part of households that receive Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program benefits or benefits under the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families are automatically eligible to receive free meals.

With no income or residency requirements, meals are also served at the Village View Apartments Community Room, at 26 Village View Lane, and at Wildewood Acres, 12 Elm St.

All four sites serve lunch from 11:30 a.m.-noon.
