FREEPORT — The town is looking for volunteers to aid in the re-drafting of its Emergency Operations Plan.

The need for an updated plan was brought to light during discussions following October’s record-breaking wind and rain storm.

There are several resident seats available on the Emergency Operations Plan committee. Applicants should contact Fire Chief Charlie Jordan.

The first public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, from 2-4 p.m.

Town Manager Peter Joseph said the draft plan is expected to be presented to the Town Council by the end of April.
