10/6 at  3:36 p.m. Edward Apon, 46, of Portland, was arrested on Main Street by Officer Paul Chenevert on a charge of theft.

Summonses

10/6 at 11:38 p.m. Emily Freitag, 20, of Topsham, was issued a summons by Officer Paul Powers on Bow and Main streets on a charge of operating under the influence and a minor possessing liquor by consumption.

10/6 at 11:38 p.m. Joseph Leaver, 20, of Portland, was issued a summons by Officer Paul Powers on Bow and Main streets on a charge of a minor possessing liquor.

Joshua A. Tardy, 42, of Newport, was not charged with a crime after being arrested Oct. 2 for allegedly driving erratically on Interstate 295. Tardy failed field sobriety tests, according to police, but a breath test administered at the police station produced a blood-alcohol level within the legal limit.

Left for dead

10/6 at 1:12 p.m. After several days, residents of the Wardtown and Curtis roads area called police to report a car on the side of the road with out of state plates. Police had the vehicle towed off the road and have not been able to make contact with the owners yet.

Have a pint to go

10/8 at 4:40 p.m. Employees of the Jameson Tavern on Main Street contacted police after $30 in pint glasses were allegedly stolen from the restaurant. Police report customers came into the restaurant and ordered food to go. While they waited for their, food they ordered drinks. When the employees brought their food, they found the customers and the pint glasses were gone.

There were 13 fire calls from Oct. 4-9.

There were seven calls for emergency medical service from Oct. 4-10.
