11/17 at 5:16 p.m. Lorena M. Chapman, 32, of Augusta, was issued a summons by Sgt. Nathaniel Goodman on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.
Squirrel avoidance
11/15 at 7:44 a.m. A woman driving on Staples Point Road swerved to avoid hitting a squirrel and lost control of her car. The vehicle slid down an embankment and hit a tree. The woman was not injured, but the accident caused about $1,000 in damage to the vehicle.

11/17 at 12:31 a.m. Alarm on Main Street.
