Arrests

7/4 at 9:25 p.m. Kevin Michael Brown, 30, of Elmwood Road, Pownal, was arrested on Elm Street by Sgt. Nathaniel Goodman on charges of unlawful possession of a scheduled drug and the sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

7/6 at 12:14 a.m. Darcey E. Thoits, 33, of Carriage Road, Cumberland, was arrested on Interstate 295 by Officer Jerod Verrill on a charge of operating under the influence.

7/7 at 9:25 a.m. Michael A. Hanson, 27, of Plummer Mill Road, Durham, was arrested on Durham Road by Officer Matthew Moorhouse on a charge of violating conditions of release.

Amburglar

Amato’s restaurant on Main Street was burglarized sometime during the night of July 3, with the culprit causing about $2,000 damage and absconding with an undisclosed amount of cash. The incident remains under investigation.
