8/7 at 6:49 p.m. Christina Shiplett, 28, of Westbrook, was arrested by Officer Thomas V. Gabbard on Main Street on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

8/11 at 9:58 p.m. Birgit Davis, 48, of Munster, Ind., was arrested by Officer Brandon Paxton on Route 1 and Stonewood on charges of operating under the influence and refusing to sign a criminal summons.

Too hot to hike?

8/6 at 3:14 p.m. Police were called by a person who found clothing on the hiking trails near the Freeport Inn. No one was located, and the person just wanted to make the police aware of the situation. 

Rowdy Sunday night

8/8 at 12:27 a.m. A group of people were reportedly unruly at Gritty’s on Route 1 and were refused service at the restaurant. They left after causing damage to the property, but were not located.
