8/2 at 4:07 p.m. Stephanie M. Haskell, 34, of Augusta, was arrested by Officer Paul Powers on Main Street on charges of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, criminal trespass and violating condition of release.

Summonses

8/5 at 2:02 p.m. Jonathan R. Goulding, 20, of Pownal, was issued a summons by Officer Paul Powers at Freeport Village Station on a charge of displaying fictitious vehicle certification.

Construction kid zone

8/3 at 1:56 p.m. Police responded to Pownal when a resident called to report kids had allegedly knocked over a construction sign and put it in the back of a truck. The caller also reported that the kids allegedly threw scrap metal around a dumpster. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to handle the situation. 

Pay up!

8/3 at 7:17 p.m. A Winslow Park employee contacted police to report a person refused to pay the $5 boat launch fee. When police arrived, the person paid the fee.

Special delivery

8/5 at 1:10 p.m. Police received a call from a post office employee who reported a fanny pack had been placed in the mail slot in front of the post office. The fanny pack was reportedly brought to the police station and returned to its owner.

8/4 at 12:08 p.m. Vehicle accident on Hallowell and Elmwood roads.

8/5 at 11:20 a.m. Propane, hazmat alarm on I-295 North.

8/6 at 12:51 p.m. Fire alarm on Main Street.
