Arrests

3/30 at 11:39 p.m. Martin Sanchez-Cardenas, 45, of Independence Drive, was arrested by Officer Paul Chenevert on Depot Street on charges of operating under the influence and refusing to sign a summons.

Summonses

3/30 at 4:24 p.m. Joseph S. Chambers, 36, of Palmyra was issued a summons by Officer Brandon Paxton on Mallett Drive on a charge of operating a vehicle without a license.

3/31 at 12:01 p.m. Thomas Morin, 33, of Lyman, was issued a summons on Main Street by Officer Cheryl Dupuis on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Cracked under pressure

3/29 at 8:38 a.m. A resident of Breezy Acres contacted police to report a smashed rear window on their vehicle. After investigating further, police report the window was broken because of a stress fracture, not because of vandalism.

S.O.S.: Seal on shore

4/2 at 1:19 p.m. Police were notified of a seal on the shore off Lower Mast Landing Road. The seal appeared to be in distress so the Marine Patrol was contacted and responded to the call. The next day at 8:55 a.m. a seal was removed from the shore around Mast Landing Road. Police are unsure if this is the same seal or not.
