FREEPORT — The Freeport Historical Society invites all children ages 6-10 to play a baseball game against the Essex Massachusetts Vintage baseball team on Saturday, June 26 at 11 a.m. The game will be played by rules from the 1860’s.
Trophies from the Boston Red Sox 2004 and 2007 World Series Championships will be on display.
The game will be at the Little League Field on Route 1 on Lower Main Street. Hotdogs, ice cream and beverages will be served.
On Sunday, June 27 at 1 p.m. there will be a game played between the Dirigo and Essex Vintage teams at Pettengill Farm. There will be music by Over a Cardboard Sea, and hot dogs and kettle corn will be served. Tickets are $5 for adults, and $3 for Historical Society members and children aged 10-16. Children under 10 are free.
