FREEPORT — The Freeport Historical Society is hosting “The History of Chocolate” at 3 p.m., Feb. 10, at the Old Town Hall on Park Street.

The event includes a presentation that chronicles the evolution of chocolate in America and a tasting.

Food historian and author Sandy Oliver will discuss how chocolate came to America and how its use has changed throughout the years. Andy Wilbur, of Wilbur’s of Maine Chocolate Confections, will also demonstrate how contemporary chocolates are made, followed by a tasting.
