FREEPORT — This year’s Freeport Half Marathon and 5K will benefit Freeport Community Services and the Freeport, Pownal, and Durham Education Foundation.
The second annual road race will be held Sunday, Sept. 7, with the half marathon starting at 9 a.m. and the 5K starting at 9:15 a.m. The races start and end at the Freeport USA tower downtown. Entry in the half marathon is $65 until Sept. 6 and $75 on race day. For the 5K, the entry fee is $30 until Sept. 6 and $40 on race day.
