The Freeport girls’ lacrosse team fell one win shy of playing for the Class B state title last week, but the Falcons (and coach Karin Kurry) still got a chance to step on to the big stage at Fitzpatrick Stadium Saturday when they were awarded the Eastern B Sportsmanship Award. The award was bestowed in a ceremony at halftime of the Yarmouth-Cape Elizabeth game.
