FREEPORT — Freeport Community Services will hold its 12th annual Freeze Out on Feb. 20.

The event, which raises money, food, and personal care items for “the most vulnerable residents of Freeport and Pownal,” will take place from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. at First Parish Church, 40 Main St. There will also be a “Stuff the Bus” event at Shaw’s supermarket from 9 a.m-2 p.m. where people can donate non-perishable food items.

During the 12-hour event, FCS board members, staff and volunteers will stand outside to collect donations. Monetary donations will be used to buy food and provide fuel assistance to those in need.

The Maine Public Safety Pipe and Drum Band will help launch the event with a 10 a.m. performance at the church.
