FREEPORT — Freeport High School and Freeport Middle School recently honored the top fall athletes of the 2010 season.

The boys’ soccer team gave the Coaches’ Awards to Zach Greene and Nate Pfeffer. The Boosters’ Pride and Character Award was given to Connor Dietrich.

The junior varsity squad gave Athletic Excellence awards to Ethan Roney and Harry Stivers and the Boosters’ Pride and Character Award to Alex Campbell.

On the girls’ side, Allyson Fuehrer was named varsity Most Valuable Player. Katee Poulin received the Coaches’ Award. Aubrey Pennell won the Boosters’ Pride and Character Award.

The JV team gave Athletic Excellence Awards to Meredith Broderick and Hannah Chase. Macy Stowell took home the Boosters’ Pride and Character Award.

The first team gave its Boosters’ Pride and Character Award to Lily LaMarre. Kelsey Grant and Jessica Perry won Athletic Excellence Awards.

Field hockey’s Most Improved Player was Megan Peacock. Emily Daniel won the Best Defense Award. Chelsey Small took home the Boosters’ Pride and Character Award.

The JV team gave its Athletic Excellence Award to Bethany Bellefleur. Patricia Lyons was given the Boosters’ Pride and Character Award.

Golf’s Coaches’ Award went to Kyle Newell. Spencer Drake was named Most Improved Player. David Vitali won the Boosters’ Pride and Character Award.

Boys’ cross-country’s Golden Arrow Award went to Vinnie Zolla. Bennett Wade won the Winged Shoe Award. Griffin Day took home the Boosters’ Pride and Character Award.

On the girls’ side, Gabby Tilton won the Golden Arrow Award. Lauren Easler took home the Winged Shoe Award. Brianna Roy was given the Boosters’ Pride and Character Award.

Football’s Best Offensive Player Award went to Jared Knighton. The Best Defensive Player Award was given to Dan Burke. Paul Nixon took home the Booster’s Pride and Character Award.

The JV team’s Athletic Excellence Award winners were Ben MacMillan and Joe Nixon. Adam Brobst won the Boosters’ Pride and Character Award.

Middle School winners

As always, middle school students were also honored.

Athletic Excellence Awards were given to the following:

8th grade boys’ soccer Ryder Bennell and Callum Gould.
