FOLEY, Ala. — Frances Lucille Taylor, 92, formerly of South Portland, died July 22 at the Golden Living Nursing Home.

Born in Peru, a daughter of William Frederick and Sarah Louise Moore Tyler, she was raised and educated in South Portland schools.

An avid homemaker, she enjoyed canning her garden produce, baking cakes for birthdays, making dolls and doll furniture.

She was predeceased by her husband John Taylor in 1999, a daughter, Sandra L. Brais, in 2000, and a granddaughter, Lisa B. Wood, in 2007.

Surviving are two children, daughter Sarah J. Dunham and son-in-law, Mike Dunham of Foley, Ala., and a son, John W. Taylor and daughter-in-law, Marilyn Taylor of Scarborough; four grandchildren, Karen Brais, Connie Brais, Pennie Taylor and Rob Breckner; two great-grandchildren, Sandy Lee Labbe and Dillon Gates; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, July 29, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland.
