PORTLAND — Frances Catherine Parisi, 82, of Portland and formerly of Yarmouth, died March 16.

She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on Sept. 28, 1932, the daughter of Fiore and Frances (Petrucci) Parisi. She attended elementary school in Yarmouth and then attended North Yarmouth Academy.

For several years, Parisi worked at Unum, from which she would eventually retire to care for her mother.

Parisi volunteered for five years with the Opportunity Alliance Senior Volunteer Program. She loved to help others, and also enjoyed traveling with friends and family.

Parisi was predeceased by two brothers, a niece and a nephew.

Surviving is a brother, Lawrence Parisi and wife, Pamela, of Yarmouth; a sister, Elena Bruno, of Pennsylvania; twin sisters, Angelina Olenczak and husband, Stanley, of Florida, and Antoinette Doyle, of Framingham, Massachusetts; a sister, Maria Vowles and partner, Stephen Walker, of Whitinsville, Massachusetts; 10 nieces and nephews; and several other extended family members.

A period of visitation and a Mass of Christian burial were held March 28 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, in Portland.
