SOUTH PORTLAND — Former City Councilor Maxine Beecher, who served three, three-year terms in District 4 through last November, will be honored at the July 1 council meeting as the Maine Association of Planners Citizen Planner of the Year.
Beecher led the committee that revised the city Comprehensive Plan enacted by councilors last October. Her work strengthening storm-water management ordinances will also be recognized as part of the award.
Monday’s meeting is at 7 p.m.
