Former North Yarmouth Academy Nordic skiing standout Ian Moore, now a junior at Green Mountain Valley School in Waitsfield, Vt., earned a spot on the New England Junior National Nordic Ski Team that traveled to Fairbanks, Alaska, March 11-17 to compete against the country’s best junior skiers (ages 14-19). Moore earned honors from the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) in the Classic 10K Mass Start race (after coming in sixth). Falmouth’s Jackson Bloch, Nathan Moreau and Hadley Moreau, Yarmouth’s Jack Elder Yarmouth and North Yarmouth’s Tara Humphries also took part.
