Matt Labbe, a 2011 Greely High graduate and a senior at men’s hockey powerhouse University of New Hampshire has earned a roster spot this season as a walk-on goalie. Labbe, who hasn’t played hockey since high school, where he backstopped the Rangers to their first state championship back in 2009, is on the verge of a true rarity in this day and age, playing big-time college hockey without spending any time in Juniors.
