Cumberland’s Chris Higgins, who will be a senior this fall at the University of New Haven (Conn.), was recently named to the Northeast 10 Commisioner’s Honor Roll as a student-athlete who has maintained Dean’s list status for the past three years. Higgins, a tight end for the Chargers, as well as a graduate of Greely High School and the son of Rangers varsity football coach David Higgins (and his wife, Linda), was also one of 300 students from Divisions I, II and III from across the country selected to attend an NCAA Career in Sports Forum held in Indianapolis, Ind., in June.
