SCARBOROUGH — Community Services is accepting gowns and formal dresses for its April 13 Re-Dress event at the Scarborough High School gym.

Anyone wishing to sell a gently used prom, wedding or formal gown at the sale can drop off dresses from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through April 12 at the Community Services office on the second floor of Town Hall. There is a consignment fee of $10 for the first dress and $5 for any additional dresses.

Sellers can set their own prices for the gowns. Unsold dresses can be picked up after the sale or donated to Brides Against Breast Cancer or the Cinderella Project of Maine.

The Re-Dress sales runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Gown buyers are advised to wear underclothing to try on dresses, avoid makeup that might soil gowns, and leave handbags and jewelry at home. Cash and credit cards will be accepted at the sale.
