PORTLAND — A firefighter accused of sexually abusing two teenage girls in Cumberland pleaded innocent at his arraignment in Superior Court last week.
Craig Rawnsley, 41, of North Yarmouth,
faces eight felony counts of sexual abuse of a minor and four misdemeanor counts, including two for unlawful sexual touching. He also faces misdemeanor charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor and assault.
Rawnsley is a firefighter in Portland and Cumberland. Both alleged victims were participants in Cumberland’s Fire Explorers program.
No trial date has been set for Rawnsley, who was also arrested a second time in Cumberland for allegedly violating conditions of release and tampering with a victim. He was arraigned Tuesday on those charges.
