Portland firefighters responded Monday at 9:45 a.m. to a fire reported at Swiss Time, 86 Exchange St. Fire Chief Jerome LaMoria said it took crews 45 minutes to contain the fire, which was concealed in a wall and had spread to various part of the three-story building. City Spokeswoman Nicole Clegg said the fire caused approximately $100,000 of damage to the business. Occupants had to evacuate the building, but there were no injuries. Clegg said Tuesday that a cause has not been determined, but it was accidental, and that it will likely be days before one is found.
