Softball coach Robbie Ferrante, who coached at McAuley nearly three decades ago, will be the program’s new coach this spring, replacing Danielle Salvaggio, the school announced last week. Ferrante was the varsity coach at Portland High until 2008, leading the Bulldogs to the 2004 Class A state championship.

“McAuley is pleased to have Robbie rejoin our staff,” said McAuley athletic director Joe Kilmartin. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. Having some very strong candidates, Robbie stood out.”
