YARMOUTH — For its fifth season at 317 Main Community Music Center, the Yarmouth Farmers Market will have more vendors than ever.

The market opens for the season at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 6, and will feature a free performance by Grammy-nominated mandolin player Matt Flinner, who will be on stage from 4-5 p.m. Free custom tote bags will also be given to the first 25 shoppers.

“We want Third Thursdays, offered June 20, July 18, and Aug. 15, to feel like a neighborhood block party. It’s an opportunity for friends and family to come to Main Street, connect with one another and support local businesses,” Amy Sinclair, the market manager, said.

“Yarmouth is unique because of the concentration of high-quality restaurants and a thriving music center on Main Street,” she added. “Increasingly, our Main Street is a viable alternative to a night out in Portland. We hope Third Thursday highlights our growing food and music scene.”
