FALMOUTH — Residents will have the opportunity to say goodbye to the town’s three Lunt Road school buildings in a Farewell Festival on June 3 and 4.
The School Department will vacate the Plummer-Motz and Lunt schools after this school year. Students next year will move into the new elementary school on Woodville Road.
The two-day festival will include a community picnic, parade, hot-air balloon rides, bouncy houses, an obstacle course, climbing wall, inflatable pony rides, cake walk, carnival games, face painting, and displays and activities provided by civic organizations. Bands and school groups will also perform, Falmouth Community Programs will have a large mural for children to paint, and there will be tours of the schools.
