Falmouth's Guarino earns Gatorade honor

Falmouth senior ace Cam Guarino was named Tuesday as Maine’s Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year. The University of New Haven-bound lefthander was chosen for outstanding athletic excellence and also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field. Guarino is 7-0 this spring for the undefeated Yachtsmen and is 29-2 in his high school career.

    Any win/loss record while playing for Falmouth should have an asterisk. The play a Class B schedule while in a Class A division. NO OTHER Class A team does so. Let’s see what they might do against REAL competition.

      I’m not a resident of Falmouth however if I am not mistaken, they played the same Class “B” schedule last year and come playoffs defeated 3 class A SMAA teams handily to represent the West in the State Championship
