FALMOUTH — The town, in conjunction with the Maine Forest Service, is sponsoring a public information session on browntail moth caterpillars at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Falmouth Elementary School.

Presenters include Allison Kanoti from the Maine Forest Service, Marty Folsom, senior consulting arborist from Lucas Tree, and Town Manager Nathan Poore.

Topics to be discussed include identification of browntail moth caterpillars and their winter webs, precautions residents should take and the pros and cons of various treatment options. A question-and-answer period will also be held.
