FALMOUTH — The Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who displayed a handgun and asked for cash during a robbery at the Lil’Mart on U.S. Route 1 Wednesday evening.

Lt. John Kilbride said the robbery occurred at 8:11 p.m. March 21. The suspect is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall and slender, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, face mask and black gloves.

“The suspect was last observed leaving the store on foot with an unknown direction of travel,” Kilbride said in a press release. He said the suspect “fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.”

“Nobody was injured during the incident (and) we are asking anyone that has information that might assist us to call 781-2300,” Kilbride said.
