Falmouth’s Sofie Matson, shown in a file photo from the state championship meet, placed eighth in the Foot Locker Northeast Regional Saturday morning at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx to become one of 10 runners from the Northeast to qualify for the Foot Locker Nationals, scheduled for Dec. 8 in San Diego’s Balboa Park. Matson’s unofficial time was 18 minutes, 11 seconds.
