That Falmouth High varsity sailing team recently won the O’Day Trophy regional qualifier, beating 10 in- and out-of-state foes. Charlie Lalumiere and Ellie MacEwen tied for first place in their division and Holly Poole and Cam Pennoyer placed second in their division, behind the first place boat by just one point. In the New England competition the next day, Ben Weigel and Holly Poole were second in their division and had the second lowest point total in the regatta. In the Falmouth Team Race Regatta this past Sunday, Falmouth won again, going undefeated against the field. The Yachtsmen crossed the finish line in first, second, and third place. The sailors are from left to right, Myles Everett and Ben Wiegel (boat 17), Jackson Bloch and Holly Poole (boat 16), and Ellie MacEwan and Charlie LaLumiere (boat 18).
