FALMOUTH — The Route 9 bridge will be reduced to one-way, alternating traffic beginning June 18 to accommodate repairs, the Maine Turnpike Authority announced.

The repairs include a new bridge wearing surface, bridge deck repairs and concrete repairs to the substructure. A temporary signal will regulate traffic over the bridge during repairs, portions of which will also require temporary lane closures on the Falmouth Spur.

Work on the bridge is expected to conclude by late August.
