The goal of the Falmouth Memorial Library expansion project is to build a lasting library that will perform well – from energy and water use to staff and maintenance requirements. It is also to create a comfortable healthy place for the community to learn, gather, and teach. Community members cannot do this in any of our school libraries.
We support adding funds through an additional bond. While this will add about $5 a year for our household, the ask is small compared to what we get: a high- performance, low-energy, healthy library with a reduced operating expense for future generations.
High performance standards are integrated to deliver a design that will double the size of the library, yet not increase utility costs. This is an exemplary achievement we should all be proud to stand by. Please join us and vote yes to allocate additional funds for this project.
