FALMOUTH — The Police Department has concluded its second “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign of the year.

The department was awarded a $5,000 grant last December from the Bureau of Highway Safety to conduct these campaigns. According to a press release, the goal of the grant was to have dedicated enforcement details during the two-week national campaign. The first took place between Dec. 13, 2013, and Jan. 1 of this year. The second took place between Aug. 15 and Sept. 1.

All told, police said, 166 vehicles were stopped, eight arrests were made for operating under the influence, 20 summonses were issued, and 138 warnings were handed out.
