5/6 at 2:10 p.m. John R. Conley, 31, of Cumberland Avenue, Portland, was arrested on Greenway Drive by Sgt. George Savidge and Officer Robert Susi on charges of burglary, possession or transfer of burglar’s tools and criminal mischief.

5/7 at 10:38 p.m. Timothy W. Carignan, 38, of Woodville Road, was arrested on Woodville Road by Officer Dean Mazziotti on a warrant.

5/8 at 11:29 a.m. Ryan A. Johnson, 22, of Hillside Avenue, was arrested on Farm Gate Road by Sgt. Kevin Conger on charges of violating condition of release and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

5/8 at 12:44 p.m. Staci L. Best, 26, of Wordsworth Street, Portland, was arrested on Route 1 by Officer Jeff Pardue on a charge of operating after habitual offender revocation.

5/10 at 11:26 a.m. A 17-year-old boy, of Lewiston, was arrested on Mackworth Island by Officer Jeff Pardue on a charge of violating condition of release.

Summonses

4/25 at 1:36 p.m. Shelley L. Silber, 50, of Balsam Lane, was issued a summons on Balsam Lane by Officer Phillip Hatch on a charge of allowing a dog to be at large.

5/4 at 7:44 a.m. A 17-year-old boy, of Cumberland, was issued a summons at Falmouth High School by Officer Robert Susi on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Burglary foiled

5/6 at 2:06 p.m. Police responded to a homeowner on Greeway Drive reporting that he caught a burglar and had the man in custody. The homeowner reportedly came home to a burglary in progress and confronted the alleged thief, who was reportedly filling a bag with stolen items. The alleged thief reportedly surrendered to the homeowner and a neighbor without violence. When police arrived, they arrested John R. Conley, 31, of Portland, and charged him with burglary, possession or transfer of burglar’s tools and criminal mischief.

Super honest

5/9 at 10:01 p.m. A Super Scoops employee called police to report a wallet with $300 cash left on one of the picnic tables. Police returned the wallet and cash to its owner.

Covering their tracks

5/10 at 9:12 a.m. Railroad employees reported a theft of several thousand dollars worth of scrap metal, and new track and tie pins from beside the tracks between Woodville and Field roads. A second theft of more of the metal was reported the following day. The thefts are under investigation.

5/6 at 3:40 p.m. Motor vehicle accident on Gray Road.

5/9 at 8:08 a.m. Brush fire on Gray Road.

5/12 at 2:48 p.m. Motor vehicle accident on Bucknam and Richway roads.
