6/2 at 5:30 a.m. Daniel Gomez, 43, of Burlington, Vt., was arrested on Route 1 by Officer Kurt Fegan on a charge of operating under the influence.
6/3 at 7:02 p.m. Scott Alexander, 21, of Lewiston, was arrested on Gray Road by Officer Dan Hatch on a warrant for another agency.
5/28 at 11:56 p.m. A 17-year-old male was summonsed at Walton Park on a charge of minor possessing liquor.
Grab and run
5/28 at 1:45 p.m. A Wal-mart employee called to report the theft of an Xbox video game console from the store. The suspect reportedly cut the wires that fastened the console in place and ran to a vehicle parked in the Wendy’s parking lot. Police are currently investigating similar “grab and run” thefts from Staples, where two computers have also reportedly been stolen in separate incidents.
Prom night parking leads to summons
5/29 at 11:36 p.m. An officer reportedly investigated two vehicles parked after hours at Walton Park. Officer Steven Townsend allegedly found four teenagers down by the river celebrating prom night. One girl allegedly fell into the river while trying to flee the scene. She was pulled from the river and, upon further inspection of the vehicles, the officer found a 30-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cans. One 17-year-old boy allegedly fessed up to ownership of the beer and was summonsed on a charge of minor possessing alcohol.
6/1 at 8:45 a.m. An employee of Allen, Sterling and Lothrop garden supply store called to report missing inventory from the outside area in front of the store. Police believe thieves are entering the property by jumping over the gate at night and stealing shrubs and flowers from the display tables.
